Every now and then I see a project I just have to spread the word on. An indie project so ambitious, so beautiful, and a team so dedicated that they might be able to pull it off. Yesterday I discovered one of those games and spoke with a few members of the team behind it. That game is…
Brought to us by the lovely Siberian team, Snow Forged Entertainment. In their words,
Starfall Tactics is a free to play, real-time wargame powered by Unreal Engine 4. In a decaying, war-torn galaxy dominated by three rival factions, you can assemble your own spaceship flotilla and lead it into battle. Adapt to new challenges by customizing and decking out your ships. Evolve your tactics by unlocking new parts and finding rare ship modules. Dominate the battlefield and create a name for yourself among the stars.
But words only go so far. Take a look at what the game has to offer in the video below.
Pretty cool right? I liked it when the ships warped past the missiles myself. Speaking of things I liked let me show you a couple of the features announced so far that the game has to offer.
- Galaxy Conquest

After familiarizing themselves with Starfall Tactics, players gain access to the Galactic Map, a persistent section of the game world where they can freely travel and explore the confines of known space.
Beyond that players can choose to leave the faction protected zones and enter the Outer Regions. These outer regions offer plenty of resources to capture for those brave enough to face other players who have decided to pursue the life of a pirate or, (most excitingly) face players who have formed clans. These clans act as sub-factions that can claim territory as their own, build outpost, and enforce taxes on those within the sector.

2. Ship customization

Truly make your ship your own with customizable weaponry, abilities, paint color, paint finish, and more.

I hope you are as excited as I am for this game and this is only scratching the surface of what Snow Forged has to offer us.
If you would like to see more from this team consider checking out their beautiful website where they have more information on the game and are posting their own dev diaries showing off their work and what you can look forward to when the game is in our hands.
